1. Program Description

​

Estes Law Office, P.L.L.C. (“the Firm,” “we,” “us”) offers a text messaging program, Estes Law Office, P.L.L.C. Client Messaging, for current and potential clients of the Firm. Messages relate to your legal matter and the services we provide to you, and may include case status updates, appointment and court date reminders, scheduling and rescheduling notices, requests for documents or information, notices that documents are available for review in our secure client portal, and billing or payment reminders. We do not use this program to send marketing or promotional messages.

2. Who May Participate

This program is available only to individuals who are current or potential clients of the Firm (or authorized representatives of a client) and who have expressly agreed to receive text messages from us. We do not send text messages to solicit clients, the general public, or purchased or third-party phone lists.

 

3. Consent

By opting in, whether by checking the consent box on our intake form, signing an engagement agreement containing text messaging consent, or providing express consent to a member of our staff, you agree to receive recurring text messages from Estes Law Office, P.L.L.C. at the mobile number you provided. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of retaining the Firm or receiving legal services. You may choose to receive communications by phone, email, or mail instead.

 

4. Message Frequency

 

Message frequency varies depending on the activity in your matter.

 

5. Cost

 

Message and data rates may apply. The Firm does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data rates apply according to your plan.

 

6. How to Opt Out

 

You can cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again. You may also opt out by contacting us at (469) 325-1861 or admin@esteslawoffice.com. To resume messages, reply START.

8. Carrier Disclaimer

 

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and device and is not guaranteed. Text messages should not be relied upon for time-sensitive or deadline-critical matters; if you have an urgent question about your case, please call our office directly.

 

9. Confidentiality and Security of Text Messages

 

Standard text messaging is not encrypted, and messages may be stored on your device, visible on your lock screen, or accessible to anyone with access to your phone or mobile account. To protect your privacy and the confidentiality of your matter:

• We limit text messages to logistical and general status information, and we will not include detailed privileged or confidential information in text messages.

• Please do not send confidential information, legal documents, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or detailed facts about your case by text. Use our secure client portal, phone, or an in-person meeting instead.

• If others have access to your phone, or if you share a phone or phone plan with someone involved in your matter, please tell us so we can use a different method of communication.

• Notify us promptly if your mobile number changes or your phone is lost or stolen.

 

10. No Legal Advice; No New Attorney-Client Relationship

 

Text messages are provided for convenience and informational purposes related to your existing representation. Messages sent to or from this program do not by themselves create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing in a text message should be considered legal advice on a matter outside the scope of your engagement.

 

11. Privacy

 

Your use of this program is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.esteslawoffice.com/privacy-policy We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

 

12. Changes to These Terms

 

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at https://www.esteslawoffice.com/sms-terms with the date of the most recent update. Continued participation after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
